If you have never made kidepo valley NP one of your destinations then you got nothing to tell in tourism. Better note it down on your bucketlist and I would recommend you to chose inspire African safaris among all tour companies you may know or hear of due to their being in the field they know better hence leading to no disappointments at all. This was my first trip with these guys and it was like a trial, like if they fail me out I will never use them again hence no recommendation at all but my friend it was the other way round as you can see and read here. From their quick response when I contacted them my heart was pleased.their way of communication indeed showed value of customer and I didn't looked at the back while pressing my Order then warmly waiting for our day of setting off. Won't take you far a day finally came and they had to pick me at the airport a day before. On my reporting at the airport that's 11:30pm my friend Richard Davids was already there waiting for me, I thought they were to delay a bit but I was super surprised for their being on time. That warm welcome plus a hug he gave me meant a lot and got to know that really my tour has started. The car we used was comfortable to the maximum, we drove jazzing slowly up to my booked hotel. My supper was read since I was hungry I ate before freshening hahaha.and trust me the chef knew what to do. After I was directed to my room which was self contained and the bed was tempting to sleep in longly since i was tired due to flyt yet early morning we had to start our journey to Kidepo. At 12am they woke me up we had breakfast then parked and start on the journey. On our going the story teller Richard Davids started on the history of Africa and Uganda in particular even a hint on were we are going all this made me yearn to reach so fast. He is a good driver you will ever meet, the car had good music, its seats had no difference with that of an aeroplane, good enough it was a 4WD and had everything that a good car may have.
Finally we reached safely on our final destination where we were welcomed by the manager of our booked cottage. I was given a simple briefing of the place and I was glad to know that Apoka is the tourism hub of the park, even knowing the two groups of people surrounding was a privilege that's the IK and the karamajong. I was taken to my booked room with my things. My God on reaching the cottage's inside had the amazing cultural designed that I yearned to make at my place too. The bed I was to use it was of wonders, made out of wooden pole trees but so interesting with superb designs. My room also had warm and cold water wow. To mention but a few.
I got a chance to move with the herd in narus valley, that's to say Buffaloes were seen in many, giraffes, they giants elephants, I spent some time with the queen. Birds were singing all over and I seen a number of species. Do you know that i had never see an ostrich physically and this time I saw many of them. I didn't know that people hunt after it,my professional guide told me that people do hunt them for food more so Sudanese it was my chance that after telling me so we met those hunters with two of them wow what an amazing tour. I also felt and saw the kanangorok Hot spring even we did an experiment there which was so interesting hence creating memories in side me. There are lots of amazing things that happened but due to time am forced to stop here, Great thanks to Richard Davids Inspire African safaris in general.
